STudent Based Health Center

The Student Based Health Center is staffed by a licensed nurse practitioner, a clinical Social Worker, a Medical Assistances and Dental staff.  Westhill SBHC is a program of Family Centers and is licensed by the state of Connecticut to provide specific services, including:

• Treatment of acute injuries and illnesses (colds, ear infections and skin problems)
• Assistance with chronic diseases
• Physical examinations
• Immunizations
• Prescription and dispensing of medications
• Dental care
• Laboratory testing
• Diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases
• Pregnancy testing
• Crisis intervention
• Individual, family and group counseling
• Referral & follow-up specialty care

All children at Westhill High school may use the SBHC, regardless of income or health care coverage.  Parents or students may call the SBHC and request an appointment.  Students need a signed Parent Permission form in order to use services.  A Permission form can be picked up at the SBHC.  Any questions please call 977-4937.
