  • Diigo - This social bookmarking service allows users to also download a toolbar, highlight websites and annotate them. This has great implications for helping students improve comprehension of online reading.

  • United Streaming (subscription-based service).
  • Teacher Tube - A video sharing forum for educators. Now includes tutorials on a variety of topics, student work and short videos on professional learning topics.
  • Slide Share - Upload, share and view multimedia slide shows through this website.
  • BrainPOP - Animated short features on a variety of curricular areas - includes a short assessment at the end of each feature.
  • Prezi - web-based zooming presentation software.

  • Google Earth - Free program that allows you to explore any location on Earth with location-specific satellite imagery.
  • Google Maps - Interactive maps that allows users to save "mash-ups" of maps that include photos and other specific information.

  • Online Stopwatch - A great way to organize timed activities and group work.
