Principal’s Weekly Message for the week of December 8, 2025
Sean Otterspoor

Dear Westhill Parents,

We hope the first week back from Thanksgiving went smoothly for your children! It really has been wonderful to see them return to school energized and engaged as we transition into the final weeks of 2025.

Speaking of energized!!

🎥 Lip Dub Update & Premiere

We are thrilled to report that the Lip Dub editing process is moving quickly! Our film and media team is working hard to bring together all the fantastic footage filmed prior to the holiday. Please know we anticipate the official premiere will take place before the end of January. We will of course send a dedicated communication with the link and date as soon as it is finalized. However in the meantime please hit this link below to a teaser our students put together to get us all “hyped” prior to the premiere! :)

2nd Quarter Progress Reports: Please be reminded that 2nd Quarter Progress Reports will be accessible in the Parent Portal on Wednesday, December 10th. Please continue to monitor your student's progress through the parent portal as often as possible.

A Reminder About Winter Weather

With temperatures dropping fast, please ensure your child is prepared. Particularly so when they wait outside for their bus. And as always, please also familiarize yourself with our district’s communication and protocols for weather-related delays or closures.

Make it a fantastic week everyone!

Sincerely,

Principal Rinaldi and your Westhill High School administrators.

Student Restrooms:

Please be assured that there are ample restrooms available to our students throughout the day. For safety reasons however student restrooms are locked at the end of each school day and then reopened by security once the next school day begins. For safety reasons during our lunch waves student restrooms located near classrooms are closed off to students while restrooms adjacent to our cafeterias are open for use. If your child should express any concern regarding the availability of student restrooms, please reach out to your child’s grade level assistant principal for assistance.

Christine Wheeler, Department Leader for English:

  • The English Department would like to remind all of our students that although we are getting closer to our holiday break, we are not there yet.  Semester 1 core English classes still have to finish Units 3 and 4 between now and 1/23/26 when these classes end.  We want to encourage our students (we know it will be hard!) to stay focused and motivated until the bell rings for dismissal on December 23rd.  💫
