Bell Schedules and Lunch Waves

Westhill Beginning and End of Day

  • The warning bell rings at 7:20 AM and classes begin at 7:25 AM.
  • Dismissal will be at 2:05 PM.
  • On early release (half days) dismissal will be at 11:45 AM.
  • On days when the opening of school is delayed the warning bell will ring at 9:20 AM and classes will begin at 9:25 AM. Dismissal will be at 2:05 PM.
  • All Delayed Openings are 2 hours (120 minutes.)

Snow Days

When it is necessary to close or delay schools due to inclement weather, the announcement will be made on the district website and a variety of media AM/FM/Television:  WICC 600 AM, WGCH 1490 AM, WRKI 95.1 FM, WEFX 95.9 FM, WEZN 99.9 FM, WEBE 108 FM, WFSB Ch 3, Cablevision News 12, WTNH-TV Ch.8, WVIT Ch. 30

Westhill Lunch Waves

  • For 2024-25 there will be four lunch waves
    • First lunch: Students and Teachers eat lunch first. They will be dismissed from lunch to period three.
    • Second and Third lunch: Students and Teachers will start period three in class. They will be dismissed to lunch, and then return to period three to continue class.
    • Fourth lunch: Students and Teachers will start period three in class. They will be dismissed to lunch. At the end of fourth lunch students will be dismissed to period four.
  • 2024-25 Lunch Waves
    • Lunch Wave Assignments                        
    • Wave 1: Ag Sci, Visual and Performing Arts, 300s Science, all 100's (except study halls)                    
    • Wave 2: All 500's & 600's (except study halls)                    
    • Wave 3: World language, All English (except 500's & 600's), ESL, All 400's except Social Studies, (except study halls)                 
    • Wave 4: All 300's (except study halls and Science), All Social Studies (except 500's & 600's), CTE ROTC, Phys Ed, ALL STUDY HALLS
