The Vikings baseball team closed out the softball/baseball doubleheader with a bang, jumping on the visiting Black Knights and building a 7-0 lead after two innings in the annual rivalry game played at Cubeta Stadium.  The Vikings scored two more in the 5th inning to close out the scoring for the night. 

Westhill pounded out nine hits over the course of the game. The offense was led by Aiden Dube, who pounded out three hits hits (two doubles and a single) during the game.  Drew Babore chipped in two hits, Daurin Arias had two RBIs, and Matt Brucker, David Quattrocchi, and Dube each chipped in one RBI in the first two innings.  Harrison Tronick added two stolen bases. 

Defensively the Vikings were also on point, committing no errors through the game's seven innings.

Starting pitcher Mark Sytnyk threw a gem for the complete game victory, striking out 11 and scattering four hits while earning the shutout win.

The game marked the Vikings third win over Stamford in the last four years, and returns the city championship trophy to Westhill.
