Seniors applying to two-year or four-year colleges will be using the Common Application, Coalition Application, Common Black College Application, and/or a school-specific application. Most colleges accept the Common Application. For application details about a specific college, refer to the admissions page on that college’s website.

Students must be aware of application deadlines, which are strictly adhered to. Applications can be submitted ahead of deadlines, but never after.

Common App is a non-profit college access organization that helps students apply to college every year. There are two main parts of the Common App to fill out: a set of common questions and each college’s own specific questions. Almost 900 colleges and universities use Common App.

The mission of EDU, Inc., creator of the Common Black College Application (CBCA), is to increase the number of educational options for students interested in attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The CBCA allows you to complete a single application that you can submit to all 54 member institutions.

Many students begin their postsecondary education at community college. NCC provides a broad range of credit and non-credit bearing programs (over 50 Associate’s Degree and over 20 Certificate programs) leading to transfer, employment, and lifelong learning.
